Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur believes that AI is changing not only the way we live, but also the way we organize ourselves. Shekhar Kapur calls it the most democratic technology in history and says AI will “remove inertia from existing structures” and dismantle traditional hierarchies and the old power pyramid.
Will your organization survive AI?
AI is probably the most democratic technology available to us.
AI will change everything. It is an existential change in the way we live, the way we work and the way we communicate
But it’s also a complete shift in the way we… pic.twitter.com/bQnbDqI0v8

In the world Shekhar envisions, the future of work will be fluid, collective and intuitive. He points to the murmuration of sparrows, thousands of birds moving in perfect sync without a leader, as a perfect metaphor for how human cooperation can evolve. “No hierarchy. No chain of command. Just intuition connecting individuals with a collective goal,” he reflects.
For Shekhar Kapur, this intuitive way of working will replace the rigidity of fixed roles and permanent employment. People will move seamlessly between “tribes,” groups that form, dissolve, and reform based on purpose rather than permanence. The result? A world in which everyone becomes their own CEO, their own creator, their own driver of potential. He also challenges the idea that AI only threatens blue-collar or entry-level workers. “Even CEOs are under threat,” he notes, suggesting that leadership itself must evolve from control to collaboration.
At the heart of Shekhar Kapur’s philosophy is a single idea: intuition, or as he calls it, “intuition,” will be the defining skill in the AI age. Logic and experience are a thing of the past; Instinct and creativity will shape the future. In Shekhar Kapur’s world, AI does not mean an end to human potential, but an invitation to rediscover it. A world where change is constant, creativity is collective and intuition is the new intelligence. Shekhar Kapur now prepares for Masoom: The Next Generation and continues to explore what it really means to be human in a world on the verge of transformation.
